8 drown in Narmada river in Poicha; 1 rescued, search for 7 ongoing

Narmada: Eight tourists who were visiting Poicha village drowned while bathing in the Narmada River today. Locals managed to save one person from drowning, but the search for the seven missing individuals is still ongoing.
The individuals who drowned are residents of Surat and originally hail from Amreli district in the Saurashtra region. Among the eight travelers were three small children. The Rajpipla Town Police and Fire Brigade team have reached the spot and are conducting a search. The drowning of eight people has caused commotion in the local area. NDRF team has been dispatched as the seven people are still missing.
It is noteworthy that just last week, four people lost their lives due to drowning at Dandi beach in Navsari.
