Rainfall likely to continue in Gujarat until May 17th

Gandhinagar: Over 100 talukas of the state witnessed rainfall on Monday, bringing relief to the people who were reeling under the scorching summer heat. Heavy rainfall occurred at isolated places in Amreli district of Saurashtra. Meanwhile, light to moderate rain occurred at many places in all regions of Gujarat. The Indian Meteorological Department has further predicted light rain over the course of this week.

According to the IMD’s latest bulletin, light thunderstorms with lightning and surface wind of 30 to 40 kmph (in gusts) accompanied by light rain are very likely at isolated places in the districts of South Gujarat region, namely Dang, Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli; and in the districts of Saurashtra, namely Rajkot, Porbandar, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Morbi, Dwarka, Gir Somnath, and in Diu on May 15th.

On May 16th, light rain is very likely at isolated places in the districts of Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad, Rajkot, Amreli, Gir Somnath, Diu-Daman, and Dadra Nagar Haveli.

On May 17th, Navsari, Dang, Valsad, Daman, and Dadra Nagar Haveli may receive light rainfall. DeshGujarat
