Shah dedicates 30 smart schools in Ahmedabad in his first program after Lok Sabha victory
June 21, 2024
Ahmedabad: Union Home Minister Amit Shah today dedicated the 30 smart schools developed by the School Board of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) at the event held in the Naranpura area of the city.
Addressing the event, Shah said, “I would like to give greetings on the 10th International Yoga Day. Ten years ago, PM Modi suggested to the United Nations that June 21 should be celebrated as Yoga Day, and in just two months, over 170 countries accepted that proposal. Today, in its tenth year, the world is celebrating yoga.”
“I have come to Gujarat for the first time after the 2024 Lok Sabha election, and I am happy about the fact that after becoming MP and Minister again, my first program is for the children of poor and low-income families,” the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha MP said.
Shah added, “Today after the people elected Narendra Modi as the PM for the third consecutive time and Gujarat again gave us 25 out of 26 seats, I want to thank all the people of Gujarat. It is a matter of pride and happiness for me and the workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) that the people of Gandhinagar Lok Sabha ensured our victory with a huge margin. For that, my party and I will always be indebted to the voters of the Gandhinagar constituency. I will always strive to make Gandhinagar the most developed and prosperous Lok Sabha constituency.”
“Thirty smart schools made by Ahmedabad School Board have been inaugurated today. Out of these, nine schools are in Ghatlodia, ten are in Vejalpur, four are in Naranpura, and seven are in the Sabarmati area. With this, 30,000 students will benefit from the new education policy,” he further said.
Home Minister also said, “In Gandhinagar Lok Sabha seat, 59 out of 69 schools have become smart schools. When I came here in January, I had requested the Ahmedabad School Board to convert all the schools of Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency into smart schools, and I want to thank them that almost all the schools have been converted. The remaining ten will also be converted very soon.”
“The Ahmedabad School Board of AMC is providing primary education to around 1.7 lakh students in English, Hindi, Gujarati, and Urdu mediums in 459 schools. I visited two schools today and interacted with the students, and I am happy that what we used to study in grades 9-10 in physics and biology, the students of grades 6-7 told me with full confidence. This upliftment in the life of students from poor backgrounds makes me very content,” he added.
Shah further said, “These smart schools have courses in skill development, vocational training, digital empowerment, math and science labs, future classrooms, 3D educational charts, and language training. All of this is available in these schools, which will better the lives of these 30,000 students.” DeshGujarat
