Ahmedabad: ‘Vraj’, a very powerful building in Gujarat for 18 long years is now a hospital. Located opposite Suvidha shipping centre in Paldi area of city, ‘Vraj’ was Mukesh Ambani led Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL)’s corporate office for Gujarat for 18 years. Rajya Sabha member and Group President of RIL, Parimal Nathwani was heading this office. RIL last year shifted its cooperate office to Jaspur near Vishno Devi cross roads off Sarkhej – Gandhinagar (SG) highway after a brief temporary base at Rajpath – Rangoli road near Sindhu Bhavan.
The Jaspur location where RIL’s Gujarat office is headquartered now is in the middle between Ahmeadabad and Gandhinagar. The corporate headquarters of Adani Group and Zydus are also located nearby. With this change, the old office ‘Vraj’ in Paldi area from where Reliance’s many big projects and initiatives rolled out across Gujarat and beyond, is now converted into a VMC hospital. In the title, V stands for Vrajshri. The whole name is Vrajshri Multispeciality Hospital.
Tweeting about this development and sharing his feelings, Parimal Nathwani, the earlier boss of this building stated: ‘Attended inauguration of the new modern multi-specialty VMS Hospital in Ahmedabad along with Shri Rushikesh Patel, Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Gujarat. The hospital building is all the more special to me as it used to be Reliance’s office for 18 years. Wonderful to see that it will now serve such a noble purpose for the community’s health and well-being.’ DeshGujarat
