First day of Gujarat Assembly’s 3-day session today; Bill against black magic the main item on agenda

Gandhinagar: The first day of the three-day long state assembly session today will see passing of Gujarat Manav Balidan anne Biji Amanushi, Anisht anne Aghori pratha anne Kala Jadu atkavva ane tenu nirmulan karva babat bill. The bill is about prevention of human sacrifice, aghori tradition and black magic etc activities and elminination of the same. It will be moved by MoS Home Harsh Sanghavi.
The other highlight of the first day of the session is Sankalp to be moved by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel hailing the victory of Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi led NDA in national elections for the third time. The Sankalp would convey congratulations to Narendrabhai on behalf of the people of Gujarat.
Tabling of some committee reports, other reports, announcement by the Speaker about resignation of a member(Geniben Thakor from Vav who is elected to parliament), tabling of four bills passed in fourth session of asembly are also part of the business on the first day.
MLAs Dr. Mahendra Padaliya will lead government’s attention on recent heavy rainfall and damages to crops of cotton and groundnut in four districts of Saurashtra region as an urgent matter of public importance.
Tributes will be paid to deceased dignitories including former MLAs and former Governor Kamala Beniwal. Short term questions regarding Chandipura virus, teachers on job on paper but settled abroad, milk cooperatives’ accounts under pilot project in Banaskantha, availibility of fertilizers to farmers, PM Awas Yojana(Urban)’s progress are to be asked by members.
