ACB Gujarat nabs 3 for taking Rs. 1.60 lakh bribe promising favorable results in NIOS exam

Gandhinagar: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has nabbed three persons in bribe case involving the sum of Rs. 1.60 lakh.
The accused Kamlesh Patel is into private business of education. Other two accused Kajal Trivedi and Ishu Patel work as office assistants. The accused are from Idar taluka of Sabarkantha district.
According to ACB, the complainant in this case had submitted the forms of 22 students for appearance in online exam to get degree through Rashtriya Mukt Vidyalayi Shiksha Sansthan, Noida(National Institute of Open Schooling or NIOS). These students had failed in board exams and some had left studies.
As per the ACB, the accused Kamlesh Patel demanded Rs. 1.60 lakh bribe from complainant to pass the students who would appear in exam at specific examination centre. As the complainant was unwilling to pay bribe, he contacted ACB, following which a trap was arranged. While the main accused Kamlesh Patel spoke on phone in reference to bribe, the other two accused who are office assistants, rceived bribe. All three accused are nabbed. DeshGujarat
