ICG helicopter ditched in sea off Porbandar coast; 3 jawans missing

Porbandar: Three personnels of Indian Coast Guard(ICG) are missing after ICG’s ALH helicopter made an emergency landing at sea off Porbandar coast late in the night yesterday(Monday).
Four personnels were aboard in this crashed helicopter. Of them one diver is rescued, three including two pilots and one diver are still missing. ICG has deployed four ships and two aircrafts in search of the missing personnels and their rescue.
ALH was launched for medical evacuation of a seriously injured crew on board an Indian flagged motor tanker Hari Leela, about 45 km from Porbandar.
“On 02 Sep 2024, India Coast Guard ALH helicopter was launched at 2300 hrs to evacuate an injured crew member from the Motor Tanker Hari Leela off Porbandar, Gujarat. The helicopter had to make an emergency hard landing and ditched into sea. One crew member recovered, search for the remaining three crew members is in progress. ICG has deployed 04 ships & 02 aircraft for rescue efforts.”DeshGujarat
