New Ranip railway underpass closed for 2 days
September 10, 2024
Ahmedabad: The railway underpass in the New Ranip area of the city has been closed for two days, today (Tuesday) and Wednesday, because the iron mesh for draining rainwater in the railway underpass has been damaged. The underbridge near Anmol Bungalows will remain closed for vehicular traffic for two days, and motorists will need to travel from New Ranip Anand Party Plot to Chandlodia Gayatri Garanala to the lake and then get to Chandlodia Bridge.
Due to the repair work on the underpass, motorists living in the New Ranip area will also need to take a detour of over two kilometers via Gota Vande Mataram Road to reach SG Highway at Chainpur Crossing, which is currently diverted.
There are two alternative routes from New Ranip to Gota Vande Mataram: one is from New Ranip Anand Party Plot via Gayatri Garanala to the lake near Chandlodia Bridge, then to SG Highway and Vande Mataram. The other alternative route is from the diversion provided at Chainpur Crossing, where motorists can take Jagatpur Road to Godrej Garden City Char Rasta, then proceed to SG Highway and Sevi Swaraj Vande Mataram Road.
