2 held in Bharuch for raping & kidnapping minor Hindu girls under false Hindu identities

Bharuch: In yet another case of Love Jihad, two men identified as Shahrukh Ayub Patel and Sajid Shabbir Pathan have been arrested for allegedly trapping two minor Scheduled Caste Hindu girls under false Hindu identities. It is alleged that they kidnapped and raped these minor females while hiding their real identities. The incident occurred in Kavi village, Jambusar taluka.
As per the complaint filed with Kavi police, the accused, who are both Muslims, lured the two girls, who are siblings, by pretending to be Hindus named Kishan and Sunil. They kidnapped the girls and took them to Saurashtra, where they raped them.
The girls’ family filed a complaint with the Kavi Police Station on September 9, 2024. Police launched an investigation and arrested the accused on September 13.
The accused have been charged with kidnapping, rape, and violating the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. They were remanded to judicial custody for three days. Police are investigating whether the accused have targeted other victims. DeshGujarat
