Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government has hiked the dearness allowance for the employees of the State Transport Department, Minister of State for Transport Harsh Sanghavi announced today.

In a social media post on X (formerly Twitter), he stated, ‘Under the guidance of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, the state government has decided to increase the dearness allowance currently paid to the employees of the State Transport Corporation by 4%. Henceforth, a 46% dearness allowance will be paid, along with the arrears of the dearness allowance.’

The employees of the corporation will receive a total benefit of more than ₹125 crore through this decision.

The Government of Gujarat is constantly striving to improve the standard of living and prosperity for the employees of the ST Corporation, who work day and night and show great responsibility.”
