3 govt employees held in Rs. 9 crore water supply scam in Navsari

Navsari: CID Crime Police has arrested three women employees of the Water Supply & Sewerage Board in connection with a drinking water works scam that came to light in July.
The CID Crime has apprehended Asha Patel, an Executive Engineer; Archana Patel, an Additional Assistant Engineer; and Divya Patel, a Deputy Engineer, for their alleged involvement in the scam.
Earlier this year, Surat CID (Crime) uncovered a scam involving drinking water projects, arresting 13 individuals, including government officials, for allegedly embezzling state funds without executing the projects, according to police reports. The investigation revealed that 90 projects were never carried out, yet approximately ₹9 crore was disbursed for them. DeshGujarat
