AMC’s Waste to Power generation plant inaugurated at Piplaj in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: A 15 mw/hour waste to power generation facility set up under the public private partnership (PPP) model by Amdavad Municipal Corporation(AMC) and Jindal Urban Waste Management Ltd was inaugurated today at Piplaj here by union Home minister Amit Shah. Daily 1,000 metric tonne waste will be processed here to generate 15 mw power/hour.
The waste will be procesesed daily in this plant to generate 65 TPH steam through insineration of municipal waste in boiler with the help of RDF based Martin Reverse Grat Firing technology. This steem will generate 15 mw power per hour using turbine. The plant is set up at a cost of Rs. 375 crore around. DeshGujarat
