Surat: In yet another tragic case of death by a kite string, a youth died in the Kim area of Surat after the string slashed his neck. The victim, Shailesh Vasava, was traveling to a hospital on his bike with his sick wife when, while crossing the Kim Railway Overbridge, a kite string entangled his throat.

The doctor at Sadhna Hospital in Kim stated that the victim was promptly given first aid and later transferred to Surat Civil Hospital by ambulance, where he succumbed to his injuries. The deceased is survived by his wife, one son, and one daughter. DeshGujarat
