Ahmedabad: The Municipal Commissioner of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has been given additional charge as the Chairman of the Heritage Conservation Committee until further orders. The appointment comes as the State Government considers a new chairman for the committee.

The order issued by the Urban Development and Urban Housing Department of Gujarat states: WHEREAS the State Government constituted the Heritage Conservation Committee and appointed the members by Order No.UDA-102008-88-V of dated 05.10.2010 as per the provision contain in the Regulation No.17.20.14 of the General Development Control Regulation of Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority sanctioned under Government Notification, Urban Development and Urban Housing Department NO.GH/V/59 of 2002/DVP/15999/1368/L, Dated. 18.05.2002.

AND WHEREAS, the same provision of “HERITAGE REGULATIONS” is continued as Schedule 19 of the CGDCR sanctioned by the State Government vide Notification dated 12.10.2017.

AND WHEREAS, the State Government appointed Shri. P. K. Gosh as Chairman of Heritage Conservation Committee by Order dated 05.01.2010,

AND WHEREAS, the appointment of new chairman of Heritage Conservation Committee was under consideration of the State Government.

NOW, THEREFORE, the Municipal Commissioner, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation is hereby appointed to hold additional charge as Chairman of Heritage Conservation Committee until further orders. DeshGujarat
