Two new expressways in Gujarat to be built for Rs. 93240 crore

Gandhinagar: After the Gujarat government announced two new expressway projects in its budget, Minister of State Jagdish Panchal, while responding to the discussion on the budget demands of the Roads and Housing Department and the Cooperation Department on Tuesday, provided details of the new expressways. He stated that the Namo Shakti Expressway from Deesa to Pipavav in Banaskantha will be 430 kilometers long and will be developed at a cost of Rs. 39,120 crore.
Additionally, the Somnath-Dwarka Expressway will be 680 kilometers long, with an estimated cost of Rs. 57,120 crore. The Gujarat government has announced the creation of a new Developed Gujarat Fund of Rs. 50,000 crore in its budget, out of which Rs. 520 crore will be allocated for these two expressways in the upcoming financial year.
Furthermore, it is learned that the alignment of the two new expressways will take six months after the road alignment is finalized. The detailed project report (DPR) will take about a year to complete, after which the extent of private land acquisition required for each expressway will be determined. DeshGujarat
