Ahmedabad Civil Medicity to get new neurological institute: Minister

Gandhinagar: State minister Rushikesh Patel on Saturday announced that Ahmedabad Civil Medicity will soon have a new neurological institute, with budgetary provisions already made for it this year.

The minister further stated that Gujarat currently has around 3,700 medical seats, and approximately 11 lakh patients visit the state for OPD treatment, while 1.5 lakh patients seek indoor treatment. He highlighted that alongside religious, cultural, and entertainment tourism, medical tourism is also growing in cities like Vadodara, Surat, and Ahmedabad.

Patel added that in the future, advanced multi-specialty treatment will be accessible across all regions of Gujarat, with the state’s neurology sector progressing towards integrating research and treatment within the state. DeshGujarat
