Water supply to partially disrupt in Ahmedabad’s West Zone on March 27-28
March 26, 2025
Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has announced a partial disruption of water supply in the West Zone on March 27 and 28, 2025, due to essential pipeline repair and shifting work.
The civic body in a press note said that under the Engineer Water Project, repair work on a 1,600 mm diameter Western Trunk Main pipeline, which supplies water from Kotarpur Water Works to the West Zone, will be carried out on March 27, 2025. The repairs include fixing a leak near Torrent Power under Chimnabhai Bridge in Sabarmati and addressing a leak and shifting of an air valve pipe near Akhbar Nagar Circle.
Due to this, a shutdown of the Western Trunk Main will be undertaken, resulting in the suspension of the evening water supply on March 27 from Western Trunk Main-based water distribution stations, except for the Ranip area.
On March 28, the morning and evening water supply will be provided as per available water stock. Residents are requested to take note and make necessary arrangements. DeshGujarat
