Ahmedabad: The city civic body has announced the continuation of its popular advance rebate scheme for property tax for the 2025-26 financial year. The scheme, offering rebates between 12% and 15%, will be available from April 8 to April 30.

The initiative promotes timely tax payments and rewards taxpayers who have consistently paid in advance for the past three years. Taxpayers will receive a 12% rebate if they pay their property tax in advance. Additionally, those making online payments will get an extra 1% rebate, raising their total rebate to 13%. Meanwhile, taxpayers who have paid in advance for three consecutive years will receive an additional 2% rebate, bringing their total benefit to 15%.

The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) anticipates higher revenue from the scheme this year compared to the ₹776.84 crore collected in the previous year. DeshGujarat
