CR Patil to inaugurate two flyovers at Gabheni and Budhiya junctions on NH-53 in Surat

Surat: Union Minister of Jal Shakti and Lok Sabha MP from Navsari, C.R. Patil, is scheduled to inaugurate two newly constructed flyover bridges at Gabheni Junction and Budhiya Junction on the Hazira–Palsana section of National Highway 53, which connects Hazira in Gujarat to Paradeep Port in Odisha.

The flyovers, built at a cost of ₹40 crore, will be inaugurated on Friday, April 18. These structures were developed after four black spots (accident-prone locations) were identified on this stretch of the Hazira–Palsana highway. Following the completion of these two flyovers, two more are planned. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has approved ₹36 crore for a flyover at Abhva Chowkdi, ₹47 crore for another at Khajod Chowkdi, and ₹10 crore for utility shifting. Construction of these flyovers is expected to begin later this year after the monsoon season.

Minister of State for Roads and Buildings Mukesh Patel, MLA Sandeep Desai, Surat city BJP president Paresh Patel, and other prominent leaders will attend the inauguration ceremony.

Ahead of the event, a meeting with industrialists was held at the Sachin Notified Area office. The meeting was attended by Choryasi MLA Sandeep Desai, Notify Chairman Mitul Mehta, and Secretary Machhar Golwala. DeshGujarat
