May 15, 2025
Himmatnagar: The town is set to get another infrastructure boost as a new overbridge on National Highway 48 at Motipura is likely to open for traffic in the first week of June.
Built at a cost of over ₹35 crore, the bridge spans 1,163 meters in length and 25 meters in width. Construction began in November 2024 and is now nearing completion in just seven months. Final work is currently underway, and the structure will be opened for vehicular traffic following a successful load test.
The project is part of a larger initiative that includes the construction of 32 overbridges and three railway overbridges between Chiloda and Shamlaji on the NH-48 route from Ahmedabad to Udaipur. The completion of the Motipura overbridge is expected to provide a lasting solution to traffic congestion in the area. DeshGujarat
