AMC Seals Another Restaurant in Navrangpura
June 07, 2025
Ahmedabad: The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has sealed another restaurant in the Navrangpura area of the city due to unhygienic conditions.
According to the AMC, its Health team sealed Shreeji Restaurant, located in Aditya Arcade near Swastik Cross Roads in Navrangpura, after unhygienic conditions were observed during an inspection. The restaurant has been sealed for the “good of public health,” as stated by the AMC.
This action follows closely on the heels of another sealing just yesterday. The AMC had also sealed the Shanvir Foods LLP (Octant Pizza) outlet in Zodiac Plaza, also in Navrangpura, after a complaint about a cockroach found in a Gulabjamun sweet. During their inspection, the AMC team discovered unhygienic conditions, leading to the restaurant’s immediate closure.
In a separate enforcement action, the AMC has destroyed a stock of 4200 kg of chutney recovered from a chutney factory at 76/77 Badami Kolsa Mill Compound in Bapunagar. This action was taken after samples of the chutney failed laboratory tests.DeshGujarat
