Water level situation in dams across Gujarat on July 1st; Sardar Sarovar 48% full

Ahmedabad: As of 8:00 AM today, i.e., July 1, 2025, Gujarat’s major dams hold nearly half of their total storage capacity, according to data released by the State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC).
The Sardar Sarovar Narmada Dam currently stores 1,61,119 mcft of water, which is 48.23% of its full capacity. The dam’s Full Reservoir Level (FRL) is 454.98 feet, while the Present Water Level (PWL) stands at 385.53 feet. The inflow into the dam is recorded at 13,478 cusecs, while the outflow through the river is 35,103 cusecs.
Across the state, 206 reservoirs collectively hold 2,71,689 mcft of water — 48.68% of their combined storage capacity.
Among these, 15 dams are filled to 100%, 37 dams are between 70% to 100% full, 35 dams are between 50% to 70% full, 53 dams are between 25% to 50% full, and 66 dams have storage below 25%.
Alert and warning levels have also been flagged, with 21 dams on high alert, 12 under alert, and 19 under warning due to varying water levels.
