Bhuj: The Rann of Kutch, known for turning into a water-filled expanse during every monsoon, is once again witnessing widespread inundation that is likely to last well into the latter part of winter.
According to reports, the solar power park currently under development in the Rann has also been submerged under water. Photographs and videos circulating from the site show large sections of the project covered by floodwater.

Khavda Solar Project involves solar projects by Adani Green Energy, Sarjan Realities, NTPC , Gujarat Industrial Power Company and Gujarat State Electricity Corporation.
Officials said that due to the situation, all ongoing construction and installation work at the solar park has been suspended until conditions improve. The project, which is considered a crucial step toward boosting Gujarat’s renewable energy capacity, is now facing delays as a result of the seasonal flooding.
The Rann of Kutch, a salt desert, traditionally remains waterlogged for months after heavy rains. Experts have previously cautioned that such recurring seasonal conditions pose challenges for infrastructure projects in the region. DeshGujarat
