India launches tri-services ‘Exercise Trishul’ along Pakistan border in Gujarat, Rajasthan
October 30, 2025
Kutch: In a major display of military strength, India has reportedly launched a large-scale tri-services exercise, ‘Exercise Trishul,’ along the international border with Pakistan in Gujarat and Rajasthan, involving the Army, Navy, and Air Force. The exercise, being conducted from October 30 to November 10, is the first joint operation of its kind since Operation Sindoor. A NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) has been issued to alert civil aviation authorities about the ongoing drills.
Defence officials said Exercise Trishul aims to test and validate lessons learned from Operation Sindoor through joint high-intensity manoeuvres across varied terrains and domains. The exercise includes offensive operations in creek and desert regions, amphibious landings off the Saurashtra coast, and coordinated air-sea-land missions.
The Indian Air Force has deployed Rafale and Su-30MKI fighter jets, RPAs, UAVs, IL-78 refuellers, and AEW&C aircraft, while the Indian Navy has committed frontline warships and maritime assets for realistic combat simulations. Meanwhile, the Indian Army has mobilised over 20,000 troops, supported by tanks, artillery, helicopters, and missile systems, with several indigenous platforms being tested under live conditions.
Reports suggest the exercise has heightened alert levels in Pakistan, with its military reportedly placing southern commands and bases on standby in response to the large-scale drills along the western frontier. DeshGujarat
