AMC fines Vipul Dudhiya Sweets after dead insect found in sitafal basundi

Ahmedabad: The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) imposed a fine of ₹10,000 on a city-based sweet shop after a citizen lodged a complaint about finding a dead insect in sitafal basundi served to his guest.
According to an AMC statement, the complainant had purchased the sweet dish from Vipul Dudhiya Sweets near Stadium. Following the complaint, a Food Safety Officer (FSO) visited the premises and collected two samples for testing. Based on the findings, the civic body imposed a penalty of ₹10,000 on the establishment.
AMC officials said strict action will continue against food outlets found violating food safety standards. DeshGujarat
