Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation’s (AMC) Fire and Emergency Department has made it mandatory for all welders, agencies, and individuals carrying out on-site hot work at construction sites to register with the department.
To simplify the process, a QR code has been issued for registration. Those undertaking such work can complete the registration either by scanning the QR code or through the link available on the AMC website.
According to the department, registration is compulsory for anyone performing welding or other hot work related to new construction projects within AMC limits.
As part of the registration process, applicants are required to submit detailed personal and professional information to the civic body. The form seeks basic details such as the applicant’s name, father’s name, surname, date of birth, gender, mobile number, address, and pincode. Additionally, applicants must provide their blood group, type of welding skill, and years of experience. They are also required to mention certification details, upload relevant certificates, and furnish a valid identity proof along with its number and a scanned copy of the document. A recent profile photograph must also be uploaded. Lastly, applicants must select their respective zone within the city and confirm their agreement with the stated terms and conditions before submission. DeshGujarat
