Minimum temperature from across Gujarat; Ahmedabad sees further rise to 17.6°C

Surat: Several places in the state of Gujarat saw colder nights as minimum temperatures on Thursday remained cooler than normal. However, some locations also witnessed a spike in the mercury over the previous 24 hours.
As per the IMD’s morning bulletin, Naliya remained the coldest location in the state, registering a minimum temperature of 12.0°C, which was 1.2°C below normal. Rajkot also saw a sharp dip at 14.3°C, nearly 1.7°C below normal, similar to the previous day, while Bhuj recorded 14.5°C, slightly above normal by 0.1°C.
In central Gujarat, Baroda reported a minimum of 15.4°C, marginally below its normal range. Deesa matched Baroda at 15.4°C but stayed 1.9°C above normal, indicating milder conditions in North Gujarat. Ahmedabad woke up to a rise in mercury, which settled at 17.6°C, 2.4°C above normal, while nearby Gandhinagar recorded 16.0°C, 1.3°C above normal.
Along the Saurashtra and coastal belt, Porbandar turned cooler at 15.6°C, marking a 1.9°C drop from normal. Diu logged 17.2°C, Amreli stood at 16.2°C, and Veraval reported 20.1°C—each slightly warmer than normal for the season. Dwarka reported 19.0°C, remaining 0.4°C below normal, while Okha remained the warmest place in the state at 22.2°C, close to its climatological average.
In South Gujarat, Surat remained moderate and recorded a minimum of 19.6°C, which was 1.4°C above normal.
