AMC to conduct Dog Census Survey across 48 wards through 180 days process

Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has invited bids for “Conducting Free Roaming Street Dog Survey for (48 Ward Wise) Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation Area”. The revised notice includes an extension for the submission of bids, a longer period for the completion of the work, and clarifications on the required census methodology and reporting.

Completion Period Extended: The Period of completion of the work has been doubled from the original 90 Days to 180 Days.Census Methodology: The tender now explicitly requires the use of a “Scientific census technique” for the survey, replacing the previous general requirement of submitting “Details of methodology of census to be used for this survey”.

Survey Area Clarification: The scope for reporting the “Ward wise and total number of Free Roaming Street Dog” has been clarified to cover the entire Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation Jurisdiction area (480.85 Sq.km).

Detailed Dog Census Reporting: The specific categories for reporting the dog population remain detailed, including ward-wise and total counts of sterilized/non-sterilized males/females (adults and puppies), pregnant/lactating females, and dogs unfit for sterilization (e.g., those with low body condition scores, skin infections, or major injuries).
