Rajpipla: A young man from Garudeshwar got a complaint registered against the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) after 111 days of persistent efforts following a road accident.
According to reports, Praveen Kant Jha, who works at the Kevadia Canal Head Power House, was traveling from Garudeshwar to Rajpipla on August 29 when his bike fell into a pothole near Vansla village. He sustained injuries in the accident. On the same day, three more accidents were reported at the same spot due to the pothole.
Immediately after the incident, Praveen tried to register a complaint against NHAI at the Garudeshwar and Kevadia police stations, but his requests were ignored. He then approached the Deputy Superintendent of Police and later the District Police Chief, but his complaint was still not registered.
Determined to seek justice, Praveen filed a complaint with the Human Rights Commission. Following a hearing, the Commission directed the Narmada Police to register his complaint. Finally, after 111 days of relentless efforts, the police formally registered the case against NHAI. DeshGujarat
