December 23, 2025
Surendranagar: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) launched investigations at two locations in Wadhwan and Surendranagar on Thursday morning, conducting searches at the residences of key officials in the district.
A team of ED officials began the search at the bungalow of Surendranagar District Collector Rajendra Patel, while another team carried out a simultaneous investigation at the residence of Deputy Mamlatdar Chandrasinh Mori in Rawalwas, Wadhwan. The operations involved over eight vehicles of the law enforcement agency and were carried out under tight police security.
The specific reasons for the investigations have not been disclosed by the authorities. However, officials suggest that the ongoing probe may uncover several benami properties linked to the cases under investigation.
The ED teams continued their searches through the morning, inspecting properties and gathering relevant documents and evidence. Both operations are part of the agency’s broader efforts to probe financial irregularities and alleged undisclosed assets in the district. Later, the searches were also carried out at contractors’ and advocates’ offices in the town. DeshGujarat
