Ahmedabad: The Regional Passport Office (RPO) in Ahmedabad will conduct a special passport application drive on Saturday, March 14, at Passport Seva Kendras (PSKs) in Bapunagar and Vijay Cross Road.

The initiative has been planned in response to an unusually high demand for passport services in February. It aims to increase the number of available appointments and ensure quicker access to passport-related services for applicants.

Slots for March 14 have been made available online through the Passport Seva Portal (www.passportindia.gov.in) under both normal and tatkal categories. Applicants with existing appointments scheduled for later dates, as well as those who were unable to attend their earlier appointments, can reschedule and book a slot for the special drive.

The drive is part of the Union Ministry of External Affairs’ broader efforts to enhance citizen-centric service delivery by offering earlier appointment dates and augmenting capacity during peak demand periods.

Earlier this month, the RPO Ahmedabad had also deployed a Passport Seva Mobile Van in Bhuj to improve appointment access and strengthen last-mile passport service delivery. A similar mobile van facility was temporarily introduced in Sanand for three days to manage increased demand. DeshGujarat
