Bharuch: Two dolphins were rescued after getting stranded in a small creek on Dahej beach during low tide on Monday morning. The incident occurred around 11:00 am when the sea water receded, leaving the dolphins trapped in shallow water and unable to return to the sea.
Workers of the motor launch Al Haidari, which was operating at the Dahej jetty, noticed the stranded dolphins and immediately began rescue operations. With the help of ropes and coordinated effort, the crew safely secured both dolphins and released them back into deeper waters.
The motor launch was operating near the Birla Copper Jetty on the Dahej coast at the time of the incident. People present at the site expressed happiness and relief after the dolphins were safely returned to the sea.
Despite observing fast action, boat employee Shabbirbhai Sodha played a crucial role in the rescue operation. He reached the muddy shore with great difficulty and actively assisted in the effort, which was appreciated by everyone present.
People working along the Dahej coast, including boat crews and local workers, remain alert about the protection of the coastal environment and marine life, and they provide immediate and selfless help whenever such incidents occur. DeshGujarat
