Gujarat Govt Implements Disturbed Areas Act in Bhayli Area of Vadodara
April 02, 2026
Vadodara: The Gujarat government has implemented the Disturbed Areas Act (Ashant Dhara) in parts of the Bhayli area under the Dabhoi assembly constituency. The implementation currently covers Town Planning (TP) Schemes 3 and 4.
The move follows several representations made by Dabhoi MLA Shailesh Mehta (Sotta) to the state government and fulfils a commitment he made to local residents during the 2022 election campaign.
The announcement was welcomed by Mehta, who said the Act would enhance safety and security in the area. He added that efforts would continue to bring the entire Bhayli area under the Disturbed Areas Act in the future.
MLA Shailesh Mehta said, “Today is Hanuman Janmotsav, and I extend my greetings to everyone. Following the Chief Minister’s announcement yesterday, we received the circular today regarding the implementation of the Disturbed Areas Act in parts of Bhayli under TP Schemes 3 and 4. This was a long-standing demand of the people, and during the 2022 election campaign, I had assured that Ashant Dhara would be implemented in Bhayli. With the government granting approval today, I sincerely thank the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Gujarat government, especially Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghavi. I also congratulate the residents of Bhayli.”
