During the meeting today, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said that the state is committed to hosting the 2030 Commonwealth Games in a grand manner through time-bound, high-quality, and effective planning.

Highlighting that the 2030 edition will mark the centenary of the Commonwealth Games, Rukare described Gujarat’s selection as host as a matter of pride.

CM Patel assured the delegation and the Indian Olympic Association that the state government will provide all necessary infrastructure and facilities for the successful organization of the Games.

The Commonwealth delegation also invited the Chief Minister to attend the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, scheduled between July and August 2026, to study event planning and execution. Patel accepted the invitation and said a Gujarat delegation would attend.
