Gujarat IPS Officer Resigns from Service a Month Before Retirement

Gandhinagar: DIG-rank IPS officer Manoj Ninama has resigned from service ahead of his scheduled retirement on May 31. The state government has accepted his resignation.

Ninama, a native of Aravalli district in North Gujarat, has served in the service for 42 years. He is a batchmate and close associate of P.C. Baranda, who had earlier resigned from the IPS and later joined the BJP.

When asked about the possibility of entering politics, Ninama said he would consider it if approached by a political party. He added that his decision to step down was primarily driven by family responsibilities. DeshGujarat
