Anant Ambani Donates ₹5 Crore to Somnath Temple for Year-Long Free Meals to devotees

Somnath: Anant Ambani, Director of Reliance Industries Limited, is celebrating his birthday with a unique gesture of faith and service at the feet of the first Jyotirlinga, Shri Somnath Mahadev. He has donated ₹5 crore to the Prasadam Nishulk Bhojanalaya managed by the Shri Somnath Trust to provide year-long free meals to every devotee visiting Somnath Temple, a press release from the trust said.
Notably, earlier this year, he had also visited the temple for prayers and donated ₹5 crore. Today, on April 9, with the noble intent of celebrating his birthday through service to devotees, he has once again contributed ₹5 crore. The primary objective of this donation is to support the initiative of ensuring that no devotee among the millions visiting Somnath Temple goes hungry. The amount will be utilised by the Shri Somnath Trust to provide Bhojan Prasad (sanctified meals) to visiting pilgrims at the free dining hall for the next one year.
The Shri Somnath Trust operates various service projects for pilgrims, among which the ‘Nishulk Bhojanalaya’ is a key and highly significant initiative. This donation by Anant Ambani reflects his commitment to supporting the faith and convenience of millions of pilgrims, the trust said.
Furthermore, on the occasion of Anant Ambani’s birthday, the Reliance family offered prayers at the Shri Somnath Mahadev Temple, including the Dhwaja Puja and a special evening Shringar Puja. DeshGujarat
