Another barrage to come up on Sabarmati River; Dilip Buildcon bags ₹268 crore project

Sabarkantha: Dilip Buildcon Ltd. on Thursday, April 9, announced that it has emerged as the lowest (L1) bidder for a ₹268 crore project in Gujarat. The contract has been awarded by the Narmada Water Resources, Water Supply and Kalpasar Department.

The project will be executed through a joint venture with RBL (DBL-RBL JV) and involves the design and construction of the Ged Barrage, along with protection works and allied activities. The structure will be built across the Sabarmati River, spanning the stretch between the Hirpura Barrage and Lakroda Weir in Sabarkantha district.

According to the company’s exchange filing, the project will be carried out under the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) model and is scheduled for completion within 24 months. It also includes operation and maintenance responsibilities for a period of 10 years, ensuring long-term revenue visibility.

Earlier in March, the company secured another Gujarat government contract worth ₹698.49 crore for the construction of a flood protection embankment on the Narmada River in Bharuch district.
