Several Underpasses Shut in Ahmedabad

UPDATE: Shahibaug and Nirnaynagar underpasses reopen for traffic. Also a bus stuck in Mithakhali underpass has been shifted.
Ahmedabad: According to officials of Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC), three underpasses are shut for traffic as of 11 am in the city due to waterlogging following moderate to heavy rainfall. Makarba, Akhbarnagar , Parimal, Shahibaug and Mithakhali underpasses were shut due to waterlogging and continuous rainfall. Jalaram underpass, Niryaynagar and Usmanpura underpasses were shut post 11 am. They shall be reopened after rainfall weakens and dewatering is completed. Some areas of the city have received over 2 inches of rainfall today morning. Incidents of tree felling are also reported in various areas of the city. DeshGujarat
