Where did it rain in Gujarat and how much? Complete list of talukas

Gandhinagar: Heavy rain lashed parts of South and Central Gujarat during the 10-hour period between 6 am and 4 pm on Thursday. According to data released by the State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC), Gandhinagar, Khergam taluka in Navsari district recorded the highest rainfall in the state at 408 mm (16.06 inches).

Umarpada in Surat district received 388 mm (15.28 inches) of rain, followed by Umbergaon in Valsad district with 350 mm (13.78 inches). Chikhli in Navsari recorded 333 mm (13.11 inches), while Pardi in Valsad received 285 mm (11.22 inches) and Gandevi in Navsari recorded 275 mm (10.83 inches).

Other talukas that received more than 10 inches of rainfall included Netrang in Bharuch (270 mm), Mehmedabad in Kheda (256 mm), and Nanapondha and Valsad talukas in Valsad district, which recorded 255 mm each.

Ahmedabad district also witnessed heavy rain in several areas. Mandal recorded 241 mm (9.49 inches), followed by Viramgam with 202 mm (7.95 inches), Dholka with 189 mm (7.44 inches), Daskroi with 130 mm (5.12 inches) and Ahmedabad city with 97 mm (3.82 inches).

In Tapi district, Dolwan received 155 mm (6.10 inches) of rainfall, while Ukai recorded 144 mm, Vyara 126 mm, and Songadh 119 mm. In Bharuch district, Ankleshwar received 145 mm, Jhagadia 135 mm, and Bharuch city 134 mm.

In Vadodara district, Dabhoi received 80 mm of rain, followed by Padra and Karjan with 67 mm each, while Vadodara city recorded 40 mm.

According to SEOC data, several talukas across Gujarat recorded more than 2 inches of rainfall between 6 am and 4 pm, with South Gujarat bearing the brunt of the downpour.
