Gujarat CM examined by doctors after meeting with Covid19 infected MLA a day ago, won’t meet visitors for a week, says CMO statement

Gandhinagar: Chief Minister Vijay Rupani was examined by leading doctors RK Patel and Atul Patel today morning for his health. The Chief Minister is doing completely well and his all parameters are normal. Chief Minister at present is working through video conference, video calling and telephone calls and he will continue to do all routine work using technology. Entry of no visitor shall be allowed at Chief Minister’s residence for next one week period. These details were shared by Chief Minister’s Secretary Ashwani Kumar.
Context:
The Chief Minister had called three Congress MLAs of wall city area of Ahmedabad at his residence yesterday afternoon for a meeting to discuss government’s decision to impose curfew. One of the MLAs was Imran Khedawla, MLA of Jamalpur-Khadia constituency. A few hours after the meeting, Imran was detected positive for Covid19. It was realized later that Imran had fever and cold and he was tested for Covid19. Imran was not wearing mask on face during the meeting with Chief Minister. The meeting was also attended by two more Congress MLA who have been tested for Covid19 today and also by Dy CM and MoS Home. Imran and two other MLAs had also addressed a press conference at Narmada hall after their meeting with CM. Some journalists had attended that conference.
CMO statement doesn’t mention whether Rupani underwent Covid19 test today or went through just screening.
