More decisions by AMC taken in the second meeting chaired by OSD Rajiv Gupta today

Ahmedabad: Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has decided to requisite 8 more private hospitals to designate them as Covid19 hospitals under the Epidemic Act. These hospitals have combined capacity of total 800 beds. The hospitals are SMS hospital, Sindhu hospital, Artham hospital, Star hospital, Anand Surgical, CIMS hospital, Sardar hospital and Siddhivinayak hospital.
AMC has served notices to 228 clinics/hospitals and asked them to open in 48 hours or face suspension of license to operate. In case of default, identified doctors shall be attached to private designated Covid19 care centres, hospitals and home quarantined patients. Such doctors will have to report to Dy municipal commissioners who shall assign suitable duty location to these doctors. Doctors above 65 age running private clinics are exempted from compulsory opening.
60 hotels with 3,000 beds have been issued orders to covert them as Covid care centres. Patients will get AC rooms at no charge as the charges will be borne by AMC.
