Bhuj: Controversial folk singer Geeta Rabari has been boked for breach of Covid-19 guidelines in connection with her folk music programme that was held at Reldi farm house in violation of pandemic guidelines and continued post 10 pm in presence of over over 200 persons instead of permitted limit of 50.

Paddhar police in Kutch has booked the organizer of this event Sanjay Thakkar also. The accused are booked under IPC sections 188, 269, 270, GP Act section 139, Disaster Management Act 2005 section 51B and Epidemic Act section 3.

The event according to complaint had no breached the rules of mask wearing and social distancing also.

Geeta has emerged as serial offender during the entire pandemic period. She has been in news in the past too for holding her performances in presence of huge gathering, in violation of pandemic rules for more than once. She recently had covid19 vaccination jab at her home in violation of rules, for which probe was ordered by district administration and responsible health worker was transferred. DeshGujarat
