Gujarat cadre IPS Sweta Shrimali on central deputation

Gandhinagar: Sweta Shrimali, a 2010 Gujarat cadre IPS officer and Deputy Inspector General of Police (Prison) in Ahmedabad, has been relieved from the Gujarat State Cadre, effective 10th December 2024. Her services have been placed at the disposal of the Government of India for appointment as Deputy Director (DIG Level) in the Intelligence Bureau on deputation.
A notification dated 10th December, from Home Department of Gujarat Government states, “Pursuant to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi’s letter No.I-21016/25/2024-IPS.III, dated 07/11/2024, Smt. Sweta Shrimali, IPS (GJ:2010), Deputy Inspector General of Police (Prison), Ahmedabad is hereby relieved from the State Cadre with effect from 10/12/2024 (after office hours) and her services are placed at the disposal of Government of India for appointment to the post of Deputy Director (DIG Level) in Intelligence Bureau on deputation basis for a period of 05 years from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.” DeshGujarat
