Anand to get better quality drinking water from river Mahi

Anand: The residents of Anand city will get clean drinking water with less TDS from Mahi river under Nal Se Jal mission. Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel has approved the scheme of Rs 132 crores for Anand for this purpose.
The residents of Anand municipality presently get water with TDS value in range of 1200 to 1400, triggering complains about various health issues.
The only sources for drinking water in Anand city are abyssal wells. Lok Sabha member Miteshbhai Patel had appealed to the-then CM Vijaybhai Rupani to supply water of Mahi river in the city about 6 months ago and the appeal was accepted by him under Nal se Jal scheme.
Then, the member of Lok Sabha appealed to CM Bhupendra Patel which was accepted and the scheme of Rs 132 crores was approved under Nal se Jal mission. DeshGujarat
