Surat: The Surat Detection of Crime Branch had to use boats in order to nab cocaine case accused Ismail (Ibrahim) Gurjar. The police had received a tip-off that the supplier of MD drugs and cocaine, Ismail (Ibrahim) Gurjar, was sitting near the Causeway. When Crime Branch raided the spot, Ismail hid amongst the bushes near the Causeway. At this time, the Crime Branch launched a search operation for the drug peddler using a boat.
When Ismail saw the police approaching, he told a boatman that some people were coming to kill him and begged him to save his life. After which the boatman started the boat carrying the drug peddler.
When the police saw the drug peddler getting away in a boat, they pursued the boat by taking another boat. The police after coming in the proximity of the boat carrying the drug peddler, told its boatman that they were policemen.
Before the boatman could trust the words of the cops and bring the boat to the bank, Ibrahim jumped into the river. He struggled to swim for around 20 minutes in the river. Then he reached the river bank, where he pretended to have fallen unconscious.
However, the determined cops nabbed this notorious drug peddler and sent him into the police lock-up. DeshGujarat
