Trial run of Phase II of Ahmedabad metro project likely in June

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation aims to begin the Phase II trial run of the Ahmedabad metro project, connecting Ahmedabad to Gandhinagar, in June or July of this year.
The completed stretch connects GNLU (Gujarat National Law University) to GIFT City in Gandhinagar. It is 5.4 km long. It is called Corridor 2 of Phase 2 of the Metro project.
The other corridor – 1 which is yet to be completed is 22.8 km long. It goes from Motera Stadium to Mahatma Mandir.
The entire Phase II of the metro project will be 28.2km long and will have 22 stations.
The officials anticipate conducting the trial run of 20.8km of Phase II in June or July this year, with the remaining 7.4km stretch from Sector 1 to Mahatma Mandir expected to be tested in December. DeshGujarat
