Panchmahal: The police on Monday arrested two men for allegedly brutally assaulting a dog that was sleeping outside a residence in Mora village of Morva Hadaf taluka.
The accused individuals, identified as Shehzad Gurji and Ahmed Gurji, are residents of the same village. They justified their actions by claiming that dogs in the village had been attacking and killing their goats.
The incident took place late on Thursday night, and on Sunday, a resident near the house where the incident occurred lodged a complaint with the police. The complainant, who owns a shop in Mora village, stated that he was at his shop around 11 pm when his son informed him about the incident. Later on Friday, they reviewed CCTV footage from a nearby shop, which revealed that two individuals had arrived on a motorcycle and used a rod-like object to brutally assault and kill the dog. A police official confirmed that Shehzad and Ahmed were arrested in connection with the offence. DeshGujarat
