New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the newly built parliament building of India on May 28th, Sunday.
The triangular-shaped New Parliament Building consisting of Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha & Central Courtyard and other office areas was planned by consultant M/s HCP Design Planning Management Pvt Ltd. in a 9.50-acre plot of land immediately contiguous to the existing Parliament House at New Delhi.

Central Public Works Department (CPWD) was entrusted with the work of the New Parliament Building by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA). The Project was sanctioned for Rs 971 Crore by the Lok Sabha Secretariat on 15.06.2020 with a mandate of the Government of India to complete the Project as a Historic icon in the Capital of the Country in a highly compressed time schedule of 21 months.
