Bhadar II achieves rule level; Sardar Sarovar dam 54% full at 121 m level

Rajkot: Bhadar II dam in Saurashtra has achieved rule leel of 52 meter, following which, the surplus water in the size of nearly 16,000 cusecs is being discharged in downstream of river Bhadar. The full reservoir level in this dam is 53.10 meter. It is 81.11 percent full at present.

Another dam that has almost touched the rule level is Und-1 which is 96.37 meter full against rule level of 97 meter and full level of 98 meter. Und-1 is at present 16.25 percent full.

Among the major dams, Sardar Sarovar Narmada dam is 54% full with the level above 121 meters. Ukai is 34.58 percent full. Kadana is 29.47% full. Dharoi is over 55% full. Karjan is 43% full. Wanakbori is 83.83% full. Dantiwada is 58.85% full.

Inflow is on in Sardar Sarivar, Bhadar II, Bhadar, Und-I, Damanganga, Wanakbori, Dantiwada dams mainly.

Meanwhile, after Willingdon in Junagadh, Ranjitsagar dam in Jamnagar has achieved full level, offering year-long relief for Junagadh and Jamnagar. Tappar dam which is considered lifeline for the parts of Kutch has also achieved its full level. DeshGujarat
