The Shri Ambika Engineering Works Company in the city has been entrusted with the construction of the flag poles. It should be noted that the combined weight of the seven flag poles, including the main flag pole, is about 5,500 kg. The Managing Director of the company, Bharat Mewara, informed the media, ‘We have been assigned the task of constructing the flag pillars for the Ram temple in Ayodhya, and the work is progressing rapidly. There are seven flag poles, with a total weight of 5,500 kg, including the main flag pole.’

Talking to the media, Bharat said, “The brasswork of the under-construction Ram Temple in Ayodhya has been done in our factory. The main component of this brasswork is the flag pole. We have been making flag poles (Dwaj Dands) as per Shastras for 81 years. It is a unique antenna that carries the energy of the universe to the garbhagriha of Bhagwan. Many considerations come into play while constructing these flag poles. Firstly, this temple is huge, and similarly, the flag pole is entirely made of brass. The pole is 44 feet long, with a diameter of 9 inches and a wall thickness of 1 inch.”

“In the last 81 years, the longest pole we made was 25 feet. The heaviest pole we made weighed 450 kg, in comparison to these poles, which weigh 5500 kg. The creation of this unique piece was possible through the blessings of Lord Ram. Apart from these poles, the hardware for the temple’s doors (hinges and locking system) has also been sent to Ayodhya. I am happy that we got a chance to work for the Ram Mandir,” he added.

Bharat Mewara also said that this mammoth task was achieved with the help of a hardworking and cooperative staff of around 20 people. DeshGujarat
